Install P4 Server

To help you install a new P4 Server, see the following links to planning resources and OS-specific installation steps.

Before you begin

• To check which platforms are supported for P4D, P4, P4P, and P4 Broker, see the Release Notes for your P4 Server version number.

  For example, https://help.perforce.com/helix-core/release-notes/2025.1/relnotes.txt is for the 2025.1 release.

• Many examples in this guide use the UNIX version of the Perforce service. In general:

  • The steps also apply to Windows unless noted.

  • UNIX examples also apply to macOS.
