Build Server metadata recovery

  1. Stop the build server.

  2. Copy db.have.rp to a safe place.

  3. Copy db.view.rp to a safe place.

  4. Copy the state file to a safe place.

  5. Delete all the db.* and state files from P4ROOT on the build server.

  6. Using the checkpoint of the central server The one server that is innermost in a multi-server deployment. In the server specification form field for Services, the central server might be specified as “standard” or “commit-server”. If edge servers are part of the multi-server deployment, the central server must be a commit server. See also 'upstream server'., restore the database into the build server P4ROOT.

  7. Copy db.have.rp and db.view.rp into the build server P4ROOT.

  8. Restart the build server.

  9. Check the replication status with p4 pull -l -j
