View and set preferences
You can view and set preferences for using P4 One.

Navigate to the preferences:

macOS: Choose File > Preferences.

Windows: Click
and choose File > Preferences.

On the Preferences page, select any preferences.
On this page:
View the P4 One preferences location
You can open the folder where P4 One-specific files are stored, including application settings, files, and data.

On the Preferences page, under Preference Location, click XXX (macOS) or Show in File Explorer (Windows).
You are prompted to confirm that you understand that modifications to the contents of the directory might result in data loss.

Click Understood.
The preferences folder opens.
Do not modify or delete files in the preferences folder unless you know what you are doing or are asked to by Perforce Support.
Set usage data sharing options
You can choose to share anonymous usage and error data to help improve P4 One. Sharing usage data is optional, and your privacy is always protected. No personal or file contents information are ever collected,

On the Preferences page, under Share experience, select a share profile. File contents are never shared with Perforce.

We track errors, application health, and basic application navigation to verify that all works as expected. We also track load, performance and usage metrics, exception reports, and other diagnostic data. Insights All information from the Essentials setting plus deeper usage information to help us improve specific features. This data is tightly coupled to development cycles and is subject to constant iteration. Depending on a feature currently in development, we ask users to share specific usage. Your files and contents are never shared with Perforce.
