Overview of the tutorial

This tutorial is for users who are beginning to work with the P4 Server. After working through this tutorial, you will understand:

• Starting up the server and command line client.
• Getting the server and client to communicate with each other.
• Adding, editing, deleting, and syncing files on your client computer.
• Checking those files into the server.

The sections that follow take you step-by-step through the tutorial.

Prerequisite: Install the server and command client binaries onto the same computer by following the instructions at Installation.
