View live logs

You can view live logs from the P4 Search web UI.

Click the Account button in the top navigation bar and click Logger. The Log page opens on the Live Log tab.

You must be an administrator to use logger in P4 Search.

View real-time logs

In the Live Log tab, you can view the real-time logging data for a specific log file. The name of the log file is displayed in the top-left corner of the logging window. The logging window only shows the most recent 300 lines of live logging data.

  • Toggle Auto Scroll on to keep the scroll bar at the bottom of the log file.

  • Click Clear to clear the logging data.

  • Click Reload to reload the logging data.

Configure the live logging file

In the Configure tab, you can configure the log4j file for your P4 Server.

To change the default live logging file, change filename in the RollingFile code block and click Apply.

Manage log files

In the Manage tab, you can view the log file size and delete or download a log file.

  • Click the Download button Download icon on a log file to download the file.

  • Click the Delete button Delete icon on a log file to delete the file.
