Get started with Perforce P4 Server
To start using Perforce P4 Server, configure your client computer to access the P4 Server. For more information, see the Configure clients chapter in the P4 CLI Documentation.
To view P4 menus in Maya, you first need to enable the P4 Plugin for Graphical Tools plugin.
P4 Plugin for Graphical Tools offers access to a number of P4 Server commands. Use the P4 menu to:
- Add files to the P4 Server depot.
- Check files into and out of the depot.
- Lock a file while you have it checked out, preventing others from modifying it.

Undo or revert To discard changes you made to a file in your client workspace without submitting the changes to the depot. your add or check out.
When you revert a checked-out file, all changes you made after check-out are discarded and the file is restored to the last checked-in version (which is not necessarily the last version you saved).

To uninstall P4 Plugin for Graphical Tools
Do one of the following:
- Run the P4 Plugin for Graphical Tools installer and select Uninstall.
- Use the appropriate Windows control panel (for example, Add or Remove Programs), select P4 Plugin for Graphical Tools, and uninstall it.
