Upload all changed files and add a change description

Add a change description when you upload your files to P4 Server. This helps other users understand the changes you made to the files. The change description can be viewed in P4V and P4 Code Review. The files are updated in P4 Server.

1. In P4 Sync, click the workspace to open it.

2. Click the My changes list.

3. Click the dropdown arrow on the Upload changes button and select Add change description.

4. Enter a description of the changes you made to the files and click Upload changes. This may take a while depending on the number of files and file sizes.

   When the upload is complete, P4 Sync displays:

   • Changes were successfully uploaded if there were no issues.

   • There was a problem uploading files if there is any conflict between your files and files other users changed. For information about resolving conflicts, see Resolve upload and download conflicts.
