Searching for assets

Searching is the easiest way to find assets you need to work with. You can do a simple search based on asset name, tag,, or metadata, or an advanced search to filter the results using more specific criteria.

Tip

You can also browse all assets in Helix DAM if you do not know what to search for. See Browsing assets.

Searching by asset name, tag, or metadata

  1. Enter the name, tag, or metadata to search for in the search field at the top of the page and press Enter.

Matching assets are displayed. Click an asset to open it. You can also select multiple assets to perform actions on them. Click the circle in the top left corner of the assets to select them. A checkmark indicates an asset is selected. See Working with assets.

    Tip

Some asset thumbnails may not be available based on the file type.

  2. To clear the search criteria, click Clear all filters in the search results or X in the search field.
