Remove an item from an asset bundle

If you remove an item from an asset bundle, it will still be available in P4 DAM in its original location. Items can include assets, folders, or other bundles. For example, if you were to remove Sports/Basketball.fbx from a bundle, the Basketball.fbx file would still be available in the Sports folder in P4 DAM.

Remove an item from an asset bundle when viewing a bundle

1. Open the asset bundle.

2. Select the item to remove.

3. Click the vertical ellipsis button next to the item to remove.

   A dropdown opens.

4. In the dropdown, click Remove from asset bundle.

   The Remove item from bundle dialog box opens.

   If an item is being used as the cover image for an asset bundle, the item cannot be removed. See Manage an asset bundle cover image.

5. Click Remove.

   The item is no longer part of the asset bundle.

   Removing an item from an asset bundle adds an exclusion rule to the asset bundle's list of path rules. See Path view.
