Move an asset bundle in a collection

You can move an asset bundle to a folder or subfolder in the same collection, or from a folder or subfolder in the collection to the main collection page.

When moving an asset bundle, you are moving the bundle file, not the files within the bundle.

When an asset bundle is locked in P4 Server, the bundle is also locked in P4 DAM. A locked bundle cannot be moved. Locked bundles display a lock icon by the asset name. See Locked assets.

To learn how to move an asset bundle in a collection, watch this video or review the instructions following the video.

  1. Open the collection that contains the asset bundle. If you are moving a bundle from a folder, open the folder.

  2. In the upper left corner of the asset bundle, click the selector to select it. A checkmark indicates that the bundle is selected.

You can select multiple asset bundles. See Select multiple assets and asset bundles with shortcuts.

  3. Below the assets, click Move to.

The Move to dialog box opens.

  4. Find the folder you want to move the asset bundle to and click it. Clicking on a folder will display its subfolders.

If you want to move the asset bundle to the main collection page, select the collection.

  5. Click Move.

The asset bundle is moved. If a bundle with the same name is already in that location, the bundle cannot be moved.

To move an individual asset, see Move assets in collections.
