View 3D model skeleton (rigging)
If a 3D model includes a skeleton (also known as rigging), you can toggle it in P4 DAM. P4 DAM currently only supports rendering of .fbx, .glb, and .gltf 3D models.
The bones of a skeleton are graduated between green and blue to help you visualize how the bones influence vertex weights within the skeleton. The color gradient helps artists debug skeleton structures and verify that the hierarchy is correctly implemented. This is particularly useful when debugging animations.
-
Green: Represents the root or base of the bone, where the strongest influence or weight is applied.
-
Blue: Represents the tip or end of the bone, where the influence diminishes.
-
Click Viewer settings
in the animation playback toolbar.
The Viewer settings dialog box opens.
-
Under Rigging, toggle Skeleton on or off.
-
To reset the skeleton to its default setting, click Reset. This also resets the other controls in the dialog box.
