Using P4 DAM with Autodesk Maya

Log in with your P4 DAM credentials and start managing your assets with Maya.

1. Ask your administrator for the P4 DAM URL and your login credentials if you do not already have them.

2. Start P4 Sync.

3. Start Maya and click Helix Maya > Panel from the menu.

4. You are prompted to click Continue.

5. Enter the P4 DAM URL, your username, and password.

6. Click Log in.

   If P4 Sync is not running, a warning is displayed. Open P4 Sync and click Check if Helix Sync is active again to continue.

   The window shows your projects. You can browse projects or search for a project. See Browse projects for more information.

7. Select a project to work with.

   The collections in the project open. See Browse collections for more information.

8. Select an asset in the collection to work with.

   Maya files (.mb files) open in Maya for editing.

   You can only have one file open in Maya. If you open a second file, click Save, Don't Save, or Cancel to continue.

9. Make any changes to the asset.

10. Upload your updated files to P4 DAM so other users have access to your changes.
