View asset details and metadata

You can view information about an asset, such as asset tags, the file name and author, and work with asset metadata.

1. Open the asset.

2. Click Asset details.

   The asset information is displayed.

   • The tag section displays user-applied tags and auto-generated tags on the asset. You can add and remove tags on the asset for better identification. See Add tags and Remove tags.
   • The Info section displays asset information including the file name, URL, P4 Server depot path, author, file size, change number, and revision number.
   • The Metadata section displays metadata fields on the asset. You can change the metadata to provide additional information about the asset. See Add and edit asset metadata.
   To copy the asset URL or depot path to the clipboard, from the Info section, click Copy to clipboard . Use the URL to go directly to the asset in P4 DAM or share it with others so they can. Use the depot path to go directly to the asset in the P4 Visual Client (P4V) or share it with others so they can.
