Remove an item from an asset bundle

If you remove an item from an asset bundle, it will still be available in P4 DAM in its original location. Items can include assets, folders, or other asset bundles. For example, if you were to remove Sports/Basketball.fbx from an asset bundle, the Basketball.fbx file would still be available in the Sports folder in P4 DAM.

Remove an item when viewing an asset bundle

1. Open the asset bundle.

2. Click the vertical ellipsis icon next to the item to remove.

3. Click Remove from asset bundle.

   The item is no longer part of the asset bundle.

   If an item is being used as the cover image for an asset bundle, the item cannot be removed. See Manage an asset bundle cover image.
   Removing an item from an asset bundle adds an exclusion rule to the asset bundle's list of path rules. See Path view.
