Remove tags from assets

Tags help identify and group assets for better searching and browsing. You can remove tags that are no longer relevant.

To remove tags from all assets in a folder, including subfolders, see Remove tags from assets in folders. To remove tags from all assets in a collection, including folders and subfolders, see Remove tags from assets in collections.

When an asset is archived in P4 Server, you cannot perform any actions on it. Archived assets are marked as Archived in the P4 DAM asset Version list. See Archived assets.

If an asset is checked out in P4 Server, an error is displayed when you try to remove tags from the asset in P4 DAM. If you have the asset checked out, use the same P4 client you used to check out the asset to check it in before removing tags. If another user has the file checked out, ask them to check it in.
