Helix DAM is now P4 DAM
Perforce has a new look and logo that reflects our place in DevOps workflows. As part of these changes, Helix DAM is now P4 DAM, highlighting its integration with P4 (formerly Helix Core) and its availability as part of the P4 Platform. While the product interface retains the Helix DAM branding in this release, name updates and new icons to align with the P4 branding will be rolled out in a future release. To learn more, see Re-Introducing P4.
3D model rendering and previews for additional formats
Automatically convert some 3D asset formats, such as .blend, .usd, .obj, .x3d, and .dae, to GLB format for rendering and to preview in P4 DAM.
A P4 DAM administrator configures P4 Render to convert the asset formats to the GLB format. To learn more, see Configure P4 Render service.
Home page improvements
On the home page, when you click View all projects, you can now see a full list of projects in one view. To see a list of recent assets, leave the Search field empty and click Search.
To learn more, see Using the P4 DAM home page.
Improved asset selection with keyboard and mouse shortcuts
You can now use keyboard and mouse shortcuts to select multiple assets simultaneously and perform actions more efficiently.
For a list of keyboard and mouse shortcuts, see Using the P4 DAM interface.
User management improvements
Give Helix Core Server users access to Helix DAM in just a few clicks. Add multiple Helix Core users to Helix DAM (requires the Enable synchronization of Helix Core users in Helix DAM option to be cleared).
