Diagramming workflows

Surround SCM's workflow diagram makes it easy to create complex workflows. With the click of a button, you can diagram a workflow to the states and transitions. This can help you evaluate the workflow to see how files move through the process and check for orphaned states or conflicts.

1. Choose Tools > Administration > Workflow.

The Workflow dialog box opens.

2. Click the Workflow tab.

3. Select a workflow template and click Edit.

The Edit Workflow dialog box opens.

4. Click Diagram Workflow.

The diagram opens. The green double circle represents the default state and the blue lines indicate transitions. A blue double circle indicates the state automatically resets to the default state when versions change. A blue background indicates the state requires an electronic signature.

5. Click Print to print the workflow diagram.

6. Click Close to close the workflow diagram.
