Adding file actions to changelists
You can add file actions to new or existing changelists when you perform the action. For example, when you check in files, you can add the check in action to a changelist from the Check In Files dialog box. The files are checked in when the changelist is committed.
The following example adds a file rename action to a changelist. You follow the same steps regardless of the action.
1. Select the file and choose Activities > Rename File.
The Rename File dialog box opens.
2. To add a file action to a changelist, expand the Changelist options area and select an option.
- Select Rename as part of the following changelist and select the changelist to add the action to. Select <New changelist> to create a changelist.
- Select View pending changelists after rename if you want the Changelists dialog box to open after the action is added to the changelist.
3. Click OK.
The file action is added to the changelist.
If changelists are required, the changelist options are always displayed. You can also set default changelist options for dialog boxes. See Changing defaults for Surround SCM dialogs.
