Load test scripts capture the information exchanged between a web application and the web server hosting it. When you record a load test script, changes are not made to the application repository.
1. Choose Script > Record Load Test.
The Record New Load Test Script dialog box opens.
2. Enter a Script name.
3. Select the Application you want to record the script against.
Click New to add a web application.
4. Select the Browser to run the application in.
Note: You can only record load tests in Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
5. Click Record.
The application starts in the selected browser. The Recording toolbar also opens.
6. Navigate through the application, performing actions you want to test with a simulated load of users.
7. Click Stop on the Recording toolbar when you finish recording.
The script is created and opened in the Script pane. Load test scripts are saved with a qawloadscript file extension.
After recording
The following data may be added to load test scripts or the workspace after recording.
