Removing items from folders

You can remove items from folders if they are no longer related to other items in the folder.

1. Click the Folders tab when you are viewing or editing an item.

You cannot remove items from public folders you do not have permission to modify or any locked folders, which are indicated by a lock icon. See Managing access to folders.

2. Select the folder to remove the item from and click Remove.

You are prompted to confirm the removal.

3. Click Remove.

The item is removed from the folder. It is not deleted from the project.

Note:   You can also click next to the item in the Folders list and choose Remove from Folder. Make sure you want to remove the item from the folder. You are not prompted to confirm the removal and the action cannot be undone.
