Setting source control integration options

Set source control integration options to specify default comment used when users check in updated source files from Helix ALM. You can also enable entering an issue workflow event when checking in source files, such as the Fix event.

1. Choose Tools > Administration > Source Control Integration Options.

The Source Control Integration Project Options dialog box opens.

2. Enter text and field codes to add to the Default check in comments.

The Comments field is automatically populated with this text when users check in changes to source files from Helix ALM. Users can modify the comments before checking in files.

To insert a field code that is automatically replaced with specific item information at check in, click Insert Field Code. Select a code and click OK. See Field codes for a list of field codes.

3. Select Allow entering issue workflow event when checking in files to allow users to enter the selected event when checking in files attached to issues.

Surround SCM users can only enter the selected event when attaching files to issues from Surround SCM or attaching files to issues when viewing source file history from Helix ALM.

4. Select the Event to use.

5. Click OK to save the changes.
