Setting Jira integration options

To view attached Helix ALM items in Jira, you must configure the Helix ALM for Jira app in Jira. The configuration requires an integration key, which provides security between Jira and the Helix ALM Server.

You can generate a key from Jira when you configure the app or generate it in the server admin utility. You can also copy the existing key or clear the key if you no longer use the app.

1. Click Server Options.

The Work with Options page opens.

2. Click the Jira Integration tab.

3. Click Generate if a key does not exist or to generate a new key. The generated key is displayed.

You must update the key in the app configuration in Jira before users can view attached Helix ALM items.

4. Click Copy to copy the key to the clipboard. You can then easily paste it in the app configuration in Jira.

5. Click Clear to delete the key and prevent Jira from retrieving data from the Helix ALM Server.

If you delete the key, users can no longer view attached items in Jira.

6. Click Save to save the changes.
