Managing databases

Each Helix ALM Server has a server database, which stores configuration information for the server. Every Helix ALM project is stored in its own database, which contains all project information, including issues, requirements, requirement documents, test cases, manual test runs, automation suites, local customers and users, filters, test configurations, security groups, and reports.

Whether you store the server database and projects in a Helix ALM native database or RDBMS databases, it important to regularly back up the server database and projects, and to use caution when modifying data directly in the database.
