Editing project location options

You can change options for storing new Helix ALM project directories and allow administrators to specify a full path for projects when creating them.

1. Click Server Options.

The Edit Server Options dialog box opens.

2. Click the Project Location tab.

3. Make any changes.

Field	Description	Default value
Default path for Helix ALM projects	Directory where the Helix ALM Server creates and stores new project directories. Helix ALM native project database tables and additional project files for both native and RDBMS projects, such as attachments,and report stylesheets, are included in this directory. Change the path if you need to store project directories in a different location for backup purposes or to avoid disk space issues. If you change the path, you must move existing project directories to the new location before saving the path.	TTServDb/TTDbs directory in the Helix ALM application directory. Field is empty if the default path is used.
Allow administrator to specify full path for Helix ALM projects	If selected, an administrator can enter a full directory path when creating projects instead of using the default path. The path can be any existing directory on the server computer's hard drive or a mapped network drive on the server computer.	Not selected

4. Click OK to save the changes.
