Deleting test cases
Only delete test cases if they are not needed. Related manual test runs can also be deleted when you delete a test case. If you want to keep a record of the test case without deleting it, you may be able to add a workflow event to close it. See Adding workflow events to items.
Note: If the deleted test case is shared with another test case, the link between them is broken. You need to manually remove the link to the deleted test case from the test case it is shared with. See Editing test cases. You cannot delete test cases in public folders or test case suites you do not have permission to modify or are locked. You cannot delete test cases in private folders or test cases suites that are locked.
1. In the Test Cases list window, select the test case and click Delete. You can also choose Edit > Delete.
2. Confirm the deletion.
- Click Delete All to delete the test case and related manual test runs.
- Click Delete Test Cases Only to only delete the test case.
