Viewing source file history
Note: Source file actions and options depend on the source control application you are using. The following information applies to Surround SCM and Helix Versioning Engine. If you use a different application, refer to its documentation for information.
You can view historical information about source files attached to items and details about actions performed on historical file versions.
1.Click the Source Files tab when you are editing an item. The Source Files tab is on the Files tab in requirements, documents, test cases, and manual test runs.
2. Select the file and click View History.
The History dialog box opens.
3. Select any options to display the information you want to view. You can filter the history by users who performed actions, actions performed on the file, and additional events performed on the file, such as workflow state changes, custom field value settings, and label changes.
4. Select a version and click a button to perform an action. You can view file differences, submit files for review, change file workflow states, label files, and more. See the Surround SCM help for information about viewing history.
5. Click Close when you finish.
