Logging in

Before you log in, make sure you have the Helix ALM URL and login information.

1. Start a web browser and enter the Helix ALM URL.

The URL includes the name or IP address of the web server that hosts Helix ALM and the path to the login page. For example, http://wysicorp.com/ttweb.

2. Enter your Username and Password.

You do not need to enter a password if you authenticate using an identity provider, such as Okta.

If available, you can select Use single sign-on to log in with your network credentials or Use external authentication to log in with your authentication system credentials. Ask your administrator for help.

Tip:  Select Show password to show the value entered in the Password field. This can be helpful to check that you are using the correct password if you are having trouble logging in.

3. Click Log In.

If you use an identity provider to authenticate, the provider web page opens. Authenticate with the provider and then return to Helix ALM.

The project selection page opens.

4. Select the Project to work in.

Some projects take a longer time to load. Click the Refresh button to refresh the list if the project you want to use is not available.

5. Select the areas to log in to.

All areas you have access to are selected by default. If your team uses floating licenses, you may want to only log in to the areas you will use for the current session.

6. Click Connect.

You are logged in and ready to start using Helix ALM.

If you do not remember your password, click Forgot Password? to reset your password. You will receive an email with a temporary password and instructions for resetting your password. Ask your administrator if you need additional help.

Note:  If you cannot log in because the required public key is not found, contact your administrator for help.
