Copying item numbers

You can quickly copy item numbers to the clipboard to easily paste them in other areas or applications. For example, you can copy an item number to use in comments when attaching source control files to an item or when emailing a team member about an item. You can only copy the number for one item at a time.

1. Click next to the item in the list and choose Copy Item Number.

The item number is copied to the clipboard.

Note:  Some browsers do not support copying content to the clipboard. If the Copy Item Number option is not available, use Helix ALM Web in a different browser or the desktop client instead.
