Editing images

You can edit images in multi-line text fields to add text or shapes that can help highlight specific content. You can also crop images and copy content from them to the clipboard.

You can resize images by pixels or percentage.

1. Select the image in the text field.

2. Click the Insert/Edit Image button on the formatting toolbar.

The Edit Image dialog box opens.

3. Click a toolbar button to make any changes.

Button Use to:
Move or resize the selected item.
Select an area to crop or copy.
Undo the last change.
Redo the last undone change.
Crop to only the selected area.
Copy the selected area to the clipboard.
Add text. You can change the text font, size, color, and style.
Draw on the image. You can change the line style, width, and color.
Draw a straight line. You can change the line style, width, and color.
Draw a line with an arrow. You can change the line style, width, and color.
Draw a rectangle. You can change the border style, width, and color, and fill color.
Draw a rectangle with rounded corners. You can change the border style, width, and color, and fill color.
Draw an ellipse. You can change the border style, width, and color, and fill color.
Zoom to actual size, in, out, or to a specific percentage.

4. Click the Print Preview button to preview the image or the Print button to print it.

5. Click Apply to save the changes.

Resizing images

If you resize an image in the field, the quality may be affected. The original image size is preserved if you open it in the Edit Image dialog box before saving the item.

To resize an image, select it and drag a corner.

You can also resize an image using specific dimensions or percentage.

1. Select the diagram and choose Format > Image Size. You can also right-click the diagram and choose Edit Image Size.

The Edit Image Size dialog box opens.

2. Enter the Width and Height. You can enter a percentage or pixels.

3. Select Maintain aspect ratio to avoid adjusting the image out of proportion.

4. Click Save to save the changes.
