Creating text file import templates

If you import text files with the mappings often, save the format as a text import template.

1. Map the fields in the Text File Import Preview dialog box. See Importing text files.

2. Click Save in the Import Templates area in the Import dialog box. See Importing text files.

The Save Import Template dialog box opens.

3. Choose a location to save the file in and enter a File name.

The default file name is Untitled.itm.

4. Click Save.

The template file is saved and you return to the Text Import dialog box.
