Viewing differences between a current item and item in a baseline

You can view differences between a current item and item in a baseline.

Note:  The information you can view and actions you can perform depend on your licensing and security permissions.

1. Click the Baselines tab when you are viewing or editing an item. To work with baselines from a public folder, click the Details tab and go to the Baselines area.

Information about the baselines the item is in is displayed.

2. Select one baseline to compare the current item to and click View Differences.

The item comparison page opens. See Viewing differences between items in baselines for details about the differences information.

3. Select an option in the Show changes since list to go to a different baseline that the item is in.

4. Click View in Baseline # to view the item details captured when the baseline was added. See Viewing details for items in baselines. Click View Current to view the current item.

Tip:  If you are comparing a test run in a baseline to a current test run, click Open Test Case to view the parent test case.
