Pi/Subversion

Apache Subversion™ is an open source version control system. Founded in 2000 by CollabNet, Inc., the Subversion project and software have seen significant success over the past decade. Subversion has enjoyed and continues to enjoy widespread adoption in both the open source domain and the corporate world.

Particular strengths of Subversion are its reliability, the simplicity of its model and usage, and its ability to support the needs of a wide variety of users and projects especially at smaller scale. One deficit vs Perforce is the lack of native multi-site data replication, which prevents Subversion from becoming an enterprise-class centralized version control system.
