PiExtras self-extracting archive
The PiExtras self extracting archive can be used in situations where .deb or rpm installations are not possible in the customer environment. Self extracting archives can be used across all OS distributions, and installed by a non-root user.
PiExtras Installation with the Self-Extracting Package
1.1 Download self-extractable package,
wget https://mdx.jfrog.io/mdx/mdx-generic/Pi/extras/production/mdx-piextras-1.2.10-24.05.15.10.28.37.run
1.2 add exec perms to the package
chmod +x mdx-piextras-1.2.10-24.05.15.10.28.37.run
1.3 Install package, Run
./mdx-piextras-1.2.10-24.05.15.10.28.37.run
Press Enter to install into current location
1.4 The PiExtras package is installed under "mdx-piextras-1.2.10-24.05.15.10.28.37.run"
