IPLM Web administration
This is an overview of the information available through the IPLM Web Interface. IPLM Web provides full access to the Perforce IPLM database along with powerful graphical display capabilities for characterization, requirements, and traceability information.
Accessing IPLM Web
The Perforce IPLM IP catalog can be accessed from a web browser by accessing:
http://<server-name>:80
This opens the log in page for Perforce IPLM. Once logged in, the user can access the "Library Catalog", "IP catalog" , "Add IP" or "Administration" page if the user is part of the admin group.
Users can use IPLM Web to do most of the commands that can be done in the pi client. The top left of the page shows the username and email of the currently logged in user.
The screens may have different options for non-admin users.
Library catalog
The IPLM Web Library catalog page shows the list of all the Libraries available in the database. New Libraries can be added from IPLM Web. Open the Create menu at the top right of the page and select New Library.
Libraries can also be added or edited using Libraries under Administration.
IP catalog
The list of all the IP available in the database can be seen from the IP catalog page. The IP catalog can be filtered by Library, Label, or text search. You can display properties per IP and filter on those as well.
Creating a new IP
A new IP can be created from either the Add IP option on the left side of the page or from accessing the Create menu at the top right and choosing New IP.
Details
The Details page shows a summary of important information about the IP, including releases, data sheet information, configuration information, and permissions applied to the IP. The Details page supports "Pretty URLs" for easier direct access. The Pretty URL format is "http://<host>/#/ip/<library name>.<ip name>/details". For example "/#/ip/tutorial.tutorial/details".
IPV details
Open IPV details by clicking on one of the versions listed on the IP page. It shows the release-specific metadata and characterization information, with access to usage displays and release contents of the IPV. The IP Version info tab supports "Pretty URLs" for easier direct access. The Pretty URL format is "http://<host>/#/ipv/<library name>.<ip name>@<IPV>.<Line Name>". For example "/#/ipv/tutorial.tutorial@1.TRUNK".
