Automatically syncing workflows

Note:  This guide explains how to integrate Hansoft with Jira Server. Atlassian is deprecating Jira Server, which means that the Jira Server integration will reach end-of-life soon. If you use Jira Cloud or Data Center, see the Jira integration guide.

Workflows can sync automatically from Jira to Hansoft. The workflow name will match between the applications.

When workflows sync, statuses in Hansoft will be the same as Jira. Updating the workflow in Jira makes the same changes in Hansoft. You can rename statuses and create transitions in Hansoft. Any removed statuses are re-created by the integration after saving the workflow.

Note:  Automatic workflow syncing is only available in Hansoft 9.1006 and later. You can also manually sync workflows. See Manually syncing workflows.

1. In Hansoft, click the section to integrate Jira with.

2. Choose More > Customize project integration settings.

The Project Integration Settings dialog box opens.

3. Select the Jira project settings category.

4. Select Synchronize Jira workflows automatically.

5. Click OK to save the changes.

The workflows will sync for all views in the Hansoft project and any Jira projects selected to sync in the Jira project synchronization category.

Note:  If you need to edit the workflow, disable workflow syncing. Workflows created by the integration that are manually edited after disabling syncing are copied by the integration if the sync is enabled again.
