Configuring email notifications

Hansoft can send email notifications to keep team members updated on a variety information. Hansoft provides email notifications for the following areas:

  • Watched items — If a user watches an item, an email is sent about changes to it. See Watching items to be notified about changes.
  • Planning — Project members can receive email when preceding items are completed or before a release. Main managers can receive email when an item is complete or with a schedule report at a specified frequency. See
  • Quality assurance — Main managers can receive email with a quality assurance report at a specified frequency.

Before Hansoft can send email notifications, the administrator must perform the following tasks:

1. Configure a connection to an email server. See Configuring an email server connection.

2. Edit users and enter their email addresses. See Editing users.

3. For planning and quality assurance email notifications, configure project email settings. Main managers can also do this. See Configuring project email notification settings.
