Logging in to P4 Plan

1. Start the P4 Plan client.

The login dialog box opens.

2. Select the P4 Plan server to connect to. Use either the IP address or DNS name for the server. If you do not have this information, ask your P4 Plan administrator for help.

3. Enter the Port number for the server. The default port number is 50256. If you do not have this information, ask your P4 Plan administrator for help.

4. Click Connect.

You connect to the P4 Plan server. If updates for the P4 Plan client are available, you are prompted to download them. P4 Plan may restart automatically after updates are complete.

6. Enter your credentials. The available options depend on the P4 Plan server configuration.

  • To log in using your P4 Plan username and password, enter your Username and Password and click Sign in.
  • To log in using single sign-on (SSO) through your organization’s identity provider, click Log in with SSO. You are prompted to log in to the identity provider. Enter your credentials. If your login is successful, a P4 AS page opens in your default browser. Close it and return to P4 Plan.
You must have a default browser set on your computer to use SSO.
  • If only SSO login is available and you need to log in as the Administrator user, click Administrator login.

You are logged in and ready to use P4 Plan.
