Setting Quality Assurance permissions
If you are a main manager for a project, you can configure the visibility and access to several parts of the Quality assurance tab. This enables you to hide bugs and restrict access to specific options from certain users.
Permissions are global and affect all members—including main project managers—and applies to both the Quality assurance view and the To Do List.
Permissions are set using Rules. Rules will either grant or restrict access to selected features for selected users and groups. It's important that you configure the rules to ensure that all users only have access to the functionality that is relevant to them.
There are three types of rule:
- Give access to - Gives the associated users and groups access to selected features.
- Restrict access from - Restricts the associated users and groups from using selected features.
- Hide bugs from - Enables you to hide bugs from the associated users and groups when a specified option is selected against those bugs. In order to use this rule type, the Quality assurance tab must contain at least one Drop list custom column, with at least one option.
