Installers

Installers are available on the Downloads page.

When you install Helix ALM, all issue, requirements, and test case management features are installed. User access to each area is controlled by licenses. For example, if a user does not have a valid issue management license, they cannot work with issues. Each Helix ALM license also includes a license for the SOAP-based SDK.

Note:  Java 1.5 or later is required to use the Linux Java installer. Use the Perl command line installer if you do not have Java 1.7 or later.

32-bit vs. 64-bit components

Most Helix ALM components are only compatible with 64-bit operating systems. Some 32-bit client components are available when installing on 32-bit Windows and Linux systems. All macOS components are 64-bit only. Following are exceptions when 32-bit components may be installed.

Helix ALM Client	If using a client-only installer on a 32-bit Windows or Linux system, the 32-bit client is installed. Otherwise, the 64-bit client is installed.
Helix ALM Integration Libraries	Both 32- and 64-bit components are installed on 64-bit systems.
Helix ALM Server Admin Utility	If using a client-only installer on a 32-bit Windows or Linux system, the 32-bit client is installed. Otherwise, the 64-bit client is installed.
Helix ALM SOAP CGI	A 32-bit executable is always installed. A 64-bit executable is not available.
Helix ALM License Server API	Both 32- and 64-bit components are installed.
