Configuring New Helix ALM Installations
Before users can access Helix ALM, the administrator needs to perform the following tasks.
1. Make sure the Helix ALM Server is running.
2. If you installed Helix ALM web components, configure the web server.
3. Start the Helix ALM Server Admin Utility and configure a server connection.
Note: During installation, an administrative user with full admin security permissions is created. To log in as this user, enter Administrator as the username and leave the Password field empty. If you want to create a different admin user, you can delete this user. If you do not want to delete this user, add a password to prevent unauthorized users from logging in to the admin account.
4. Create a project and configure server options.
5. After creating a project, perform the following tasks so users can work in it.
