Using the Users list

The Users list displays basic information about users in the project. From this list, you can add new users and work with existing users. See Using item lists.

To open the Users list, click Administration and then click Users.

Perform any of the following actions. The available actions depend on your Helix ALM and license server security permissions.

To search for a user or customer in the list, enter a value in the Search field. Click to perform an advanced search. See Searching Users and Customers lists.
To view user information, click the user's name. See Viewing users and customers.
To edit user information, click next to the user and choose Edit. See Editing users and customers.
To add a new user, click Add. See Adding users and customers.
To retrieve users from the license server and add them to the project, click Retrieve Global Users. See Retrieving global users and customers.
To promote a local user to a global user, select the user, click Actions, and choose Promote User. See Promoting users and customers.
To change a user to a customer, select the user, click Actions, and choose Change to Customer. See Changing users to customers.
To inactivate a user, select the user, click Actions, and choose Inactivate User. See Inactivating and activating users and customers. To activate an inactive user, select the user, click Actions, and choose Activate User.
To add a user with the same basic information as another one, select the existing user, click Actions, and choose Duplicate User. See Duplicating users and customers.
To delete a user, click next to the user and choose Delete. See Deleting users and customers.
To run reports that include information about users, select the users to report on, click , and then choose a report. Report names correspond to the available stylesheets, which determine the report content and formatting. See Report Stylesheets.
To customize the list to display only information you need, you can rearrange columns, adjust column widths, and insert and remove columns. See Customizing item lists.
